LOCATIONS
Join us at our beachside base in Flåm, or choose a hotel pickup. We'll start with a scenic ride to Aurland and hike to Prest at 1,478 metres above sea level. On the way back, we'll stop at the Stegastein viewpoint before returning to Flåm centre. Need directions? Visit our FAQ page.
SEASON
We offer walking tours from May 1st to October 1st. You can request any date, subject to availability.
DIFFICULTY
Suitable for generally fit people. This is a family-friendly hiking tour, not overly long or strenuous, but some sections of the path can be steep, with sheer drops at times. Sturdy walking shoes or trainers and outdoor activewear are recommended. Don't forget to bring a bottle of water. The distance covered by foot is approximately 5 km (3 miles), with a total elevation gain of 550 m (1800 ft).

This hiking tour begins with a mountainside ride up to the trailhead. After twists and turns, we’ll set off on foot towards the summit. The hike up covers around 2.5 km, leading us to breathtaking panoramic views of the fjord and villages below. At 1,478 metres above sea level, the scenery from Prest is truly spectacular! Once there, take a deep breath, soak in the natural beauty, seize this moment —create a mental snapshot or snap a selfie—and we'll be ready to head back. Throughout the journey, our guide will be with you, providing insights into the area and its history. Feel free to ask as many questions as you'd like. On our way back, we’ll stop at the famous Stegastein viewing platform, which offers another stunning panoramic view from 650 metres above the Aurlandsfjord. After that, we’ll jump in the car for a 30-minute ride back to Flåm, where you can enjoy a well-deserved rest or continue with the next part of your journey.
